The pastor's autobiography:
Born February 16, 1961 in Altoona, PA. Graduated from Hollidaysburg Area High School. I am one of four children. I have three older brothers. One of which is deceased. Both of my parents are deceased.
I married Jack R. Servello Jr. August 8th 1987 and we have one son Richard. Richard is married to Brittny. Jack is a singer/songwriter/worship leader/musician. Jack has been playing music for many years. He has been leading worship for ten years. However, we go and play music in other churches and nursing homes and wherever God calls us.
After losing my job in November 2002, I decided to go back to school. While attending South Hills School of Business and Technology I felt God calling me to ministry. I was 42 years old and thought I would just get a job after I graduated, so I fought God. I tried to run the other direction but when things did not work my way, I finally tried it God's way.
I attended Mt. Aloysius to get a bachelor's degree in business administration. I attended Wesley Seminary and received my master's degree in divinity while serving a three-point charge in East Freedom.
In 2011 I was asked to serve God at a three-point charge in Shippensburg, PA. While serving there I decided to take on-line classes through Liberty University and received a master's degree in Pastoral Counseling.
I am someone who believes that a church s mission field is outside their four walls and into the community. I am community minded and try to get involved with happenings and our neighbors around each church.
I especially like working with children, youth and young adults in the local community.
I am all about doing what God calls me and the churches I work with to do. I like working as a team. I am willing to be flexible with schedules and worship services. I like traditional and contemporary worship. I love to sing and believe music is important in worship. I am willing to try new things in worship if it is in alignment with scripture and God's will.
I am willing to do hospital and home visits as long as I am notified that people are in the hospital or nursing home or need home visits. I believe our older community is a wealth of information and experience. I believe they are an important part of the church as well as our young people.
I am a very down to earth person and I can make mistakes, but I am hopeful that we can all learn from each other and bring about mutual respect and understanding. We can work together and be the light of Christ in the world.
